Position Summary We are currently looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our Factoring Underwriting team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of direct underwriting experience, be a strong communicator, and have an uncanny attention to detail. The candidate will also have a service oriented mindset, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Key Duties & Responsibilities Assist in managing the Underwriting and Factoring deal pipelines. Engage directly with Franchisees and prospects to ascertain deals are in compliance with company criteria Fully underwrite factoring transactions Review and submit Deal Review Summaries with recommendations to the credit committee Engage with Franchisees directly in order to obtain key data and ensure sufficiency and completion of underwriting documentation Engage directly with potential clients to learn their business, their needs and structure appropriate facilities, as well as preparing proposals Liaise with credit reporting agencies and other credit and compliance vendors to obtain timely and accurate reports Assist in managing a team of Underwriters and Credit Analysts Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent communication skills over the phone, in-person, and through email Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and email applications (Gmail) Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills Excellent understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education & Experience Completion of a Bachelors Degree at an accredited university, or equivalent combination of education and work experience 5 years of direct underwriting experience and/or field audit or field examiner experience, ideally in a series of progressive positions with a lending institution (including factoring and asset based lenders) Supervisory Responsibilities This position assists the Director of Underwriting in managing a team of Underwriters and Credit Analysts.
