About the Role We’re looking for an Actuarial Intern who is
curious, analytical, and eager to gain hands-on experience in the
life insurance and annuities industry. In this role, you’ll support
core actuarial work across pricing, modeling, and financial
reporting, while learning how data and risk analysis inform real
business decisions. You’ll work closely with experienced actuaries
and cross?functional partners to develop technical skills,
strengthen problem?solving abilities, and build a strong foundation
for a future actuarial career. What You’ll Do Support Core
Actuarial Work Contribute to actuarial projects across pricing,
modeling, and financial reporting in support of life insurance and
annuity products Apply actuarial concepts and analytical thinking
to real business problems under the guidance of experienced
actuaries Build and Use Actuarial Tools Create and utilize
actuarial calculation tools to support analysis and decision?making
Assist in maintaining and refining actuarial processes to improve
efficiency and accuracy Learn Automation and Modeling Techniques
Support automation initiatives, including creating and maintaining
supporting files for actuarial models (e.g., MG?ALFA) Gain hands?on
exposure to systems, tools, and workflows used by practicing
actuaries Develop Industry and Product Knowledge Gain a
comprehensive understanding of life insurance and annuity products,
actuarial techniques, and the broader insurance industry Learn how
actuarial work connects to business strategy, risk management, and
financial outcomes Collaborate Across the Organization Partner with
cross?functional teams such as Marketing, Operations, New Business,
and Quality Assurance on ad?hoc projects Build professional skills
through collaboration, communication, and mentorship in a
team?based environment What You Bring In senior year, working
towards a bachelor's or master's degree in math, actuarial science,
or related field with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. Strong interpersonal
and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good time
management, and the ability to work independently. Strong technical
skills and experience with databases (Excel, SQL, Python). Passage
of one or more Society of Actuaries exams (highly preferred). Core
