Job Description:
PediaStaff, a leader in pediatric and school-based therapy
staffing, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language
Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team. This
position will involve working directly with children in educational
settings, assisting Speech-Language Pathologists in the delivery of
treatment plans and fostering communication skills in children with
various needs. Ideal candidates will have a passion for pediatric
care and a commitment to helping students thrive in their
educational and personal lives. Assist Speech-Language Pathologists
in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and
fluency disorders. Implement speech therapy plans designed by the
lead Speech-Language Pathologist to meet the needs of students.
Record and document student progress towards meeting established
objectives and report back to the supervising Speech-Language
Pathologist. Prepare materials and classrooms for therapy sessions
and maintain an organized and safe environment for children.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to
implement therapy plans and integrate communication goals into
classroom activities. Participate in IEP meetings and provide
insights on student progress and the effectiveness of therapies.
Strong understanding of speech-language therapy techniques and
tools for pediatric settings. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse team
and communicating with children. Ability to manage multiple tasks
and maintain detailed and accurate reports. Compassion and patience
required to interact effectively with students who have varied and
complex needs. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
401k Required licensure or certification as an SLPA from the state
in which the school is located. BLS/CPR Certification.
