opportunities--- And more---..POSITION SUMMARYUnder the supervision
of the Business Office Manager (BOM) and Administrator, the
Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) will assist with accounts
receivable, accounts payable, payroll, employment related and/or
other duties assigned and approved by the BOM and Administrator.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Provide administrative and clerical support; answer telephones,
take and distribute messages, interview direct callers, schedule
appointments; obtain and type admission data from the resident's
family, process mail and ensure that the office and office machines
are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
- Assist with processing of payroll; make new time cards for all
employees at the end of each pay period; obtain verification of all
overtime reported; submit payroll at the end of each pay period;
obtain written authorization for all miscellaneous payroll
deductions; distribute paychecks.
- Assist with the preparation and administration of employee
files and assist in employee benefit administration and
- Assist with the processing of Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable and bank deposits.
- Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding
residents' rights; promote positive relationships with residents,
visitors, regulators and employees, to include presenting a
professional appearance and attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a high school diploma or otherwise be able to
read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level
necessary to accomplish the job.
- Must be able to relate positively to residents and families and
work cooperatively with other employees.
- Must maintain regular attendance.
- Must meet all local health regulations, and successfully
complete a post-offer health assessment.
- Must have knowledge of office machines and equipment and must
be able to type at least 45 words per minute and use 10-key
- Must perform the essential functions of this job.
- Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of
mechanical devices): Walking, reaching, sitting, grasping, bending,
lifting, pushing, fine hand coordination, ability to read and write
in English, ability to perform mathematical functions, ability to
communicate with residents, families, employees and support
agencies, ability to evaluate and interpret financial information
and make independent decisions, and ability to remain calm under
