With an experienced growing team and state-of the-art greenhouses, Revol Greens is paving the way to a more sustainable future.Job DescriptionSummary of Position:The Safety Manager will be responsible for reducing job-related risks and accidents through active preventative measures. As the Safety Manager you will be responsible for monitoring operations to eliminate the potential of hazards. This position works with the Human Resources and General Managers in establishing policies that promote occupational health and safety awareness.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Lead the facility Safety Program; collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rulesMaintain OSHA 300 log, OSHA and state OSHA record-keeping and reportingMaintain Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) for facility safety issues; ensure that safety issues are logged and maintained; ensure scores improve through appropriate interventions.Coordinate and review safety training; identify and recommend revisions, improvements, and updatesConduct safety walks and inspections before, during and after each project to evaluate safety risks and ensure complianceEnsure that safety drills are conducted consistently and effectively; maintain drill schedule and documentationIdentify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and potential/foreseeable health problems.Create and implement safety plans; oversee all project management related to safety and ensures completion in a timely mannerLead and provide technical and administrative support to the safety committee.Follow investigation procedures for all safety incidents and recommend improvements to reduce safety hazardsWork closely with management to ensure safety standards are implemented and adhered to daily; identify safety related violations and report to HR, GM and supervisorsCoordinate work duties for employees on medical restrictionsEnsure employees' certifications are current prior to them operating, repairing, or maintaining equipment, vehicles, and machinery. Ensure training and re-training occurs timely (within 15 days from due date)Provide leadership during emergency administration.Assist and perform any other related duties as required or assigned.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Extensive knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparednessExtensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to conduct verbal trainingExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar softwareBilingual in English/Spanish preferred for some locations Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Safety /Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred1 year of management experience preferredAt least 5 years of health and safety experience requiredCertification in First /Aid and CPR (Company will provide training)OSHA 30 (or Cal-OSHA for CA) certification within one year from position start dateSupervisory:This position is responsible for supervising the Safety Program for their locationWork Environment:Greenhouse, 30%The temperatures in the greenhouse very depending on the weather outsideClimate can range from hot and humid to cold depending on the location and time of yearPPE must be worn at all timesPackhouse, 30%The temperatures in the packhouse are between 34-38-- F to preserve product qualityPPE must be worn at all timesOffice, 40%Sitting at a desk and/or starring at a computer screen for extended periods of timePhysical Requirements:Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
