Canyon Creek Behavioral Health (a UHS facility): Canyon Creek Behavioral is open and serving the behavioral health needs of adolescents and adults in Temple, Texas and all surrounding areas of Central Texas. Our behavioral health center will provide treatment options for individuals struggling with psychiatric health, chemical dependency and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. Qualifications

General Summary. The Medical Nurse Practitioner at Canyon Creek Behavioral Health will report to the CEO of CCBH. The Nurse Practitioner, shall manage a patient caseload ("ADC). Provider will provide a full scope of specialty services to Employer's patients both inpatient and outpatient at Employer's Facilities. Provider shall perform all duties and services under Employer's general direction, control, and supervision; however, Employer will not impose other employment duties or constraints that require Provider to infringe the ethics of the medical profession, violate any law, or practice outside Provider's scope of practice. With input from and collaboration with the Medical Director and CEO he/she will formulate strategy, implement strategic plans, develop and ensure attainment of operating goals and objectives consistent with the strategic objectives and policies established by Hospital. Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications). Requirements:Requires Master's Degree in nursing with appropriate Texas licensure as a Nurse PractitionerIf degree was obtained online and was not through a Hybrid campus online program, must have completed a minimum of 2 years work experience as a Nurse Practitioner.Minimum of 2 to 5 years RN clinical experience in setting appropriate to practiceMaintains and enhances knowledge and skills in current technology and practice to provide care to appropriate population. Maintains current AHA CPR certification.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities. Patient Care:

Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in the clinic setting and/or acute care setting according to the scope of practice outlined by the Board of Nursing, approved protocols, national standards of practice, as adopted from time to time by Employer and as required by law.Provide call coverage for CCBH in accordance with Employer's call coverage scheduleDocumentation:Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient status and patient care activities including treatments, procedures and medications prescribed. Uphold Employer's policies and procedures including but not limited to timely completion of practice-based medical records.Continuing Education:
Ensures clinical competence and stays abreast of changes in medical management by participating in a variety of health care education activities.Patient Education:
Provides patients/families with education related to the disease process, health, and wellness.Serves as a resource for community agencies as appropriate by participating in marketing/ public relations of his/ her duties such as speaking engagements, newspaper interviews as required by Employer as needed.Benefits Highlights:
