Job Description:
The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System is seeking a
full-time, permanent Staff Physician- Hematology/Oncology who is
enthusiastic and interested in growing a robust Oncology program
offering effective patient care management in an interdisciplinary
environment. The Hematology/Oncology Physician' responsibilities
will include day-to-day care of our veteran, both in the inpatient
and outpatient settings; actively participate in the educational
mission of the agency.-- The Physician must have expertise and
experience with chemotherapy and other hematology and oncology
procedures. Strong communication and leadership skills are
important to the qualifications. The Candidate should meet
requirements for academic appointment with Texas A&M School of
Medicine at Assistant or higher-level position. The section of
Hematology and Oncology at CTVHCS is part of Medical Service and
plays key role in diagnosis and treatment of all types of
malignancies. The section is academically affiliated with Texas
A&M School of Medicine and one of the key sites for Hematology
and Oncology fellowship program is Baylor Scott and White
Healthcare. The section currently has several active research
protocols and poised to expand further. The CTVHCS has a CoC
approved cancer program.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm; rotating weekend on
call. Call coverage- Per Rotation (approximately 2wks every other
month)
