Pay Information $1,611 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills - Respiratory experience with advanced airways and oxygen management - Ability to manage cardiac drips Description: This is a backfill contract position for a Telemetry RN. The role requires working 7 AM to 7 PM shifts. No on-call is required for this position. The unit consists of 34 private rooms with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1. Day shifts typically include a charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians, and a unit clerk. Night shifts also include a charge nurse, 7 RNs, and 3 Patient Care Technicians. Equipment used includes GE Telemetry, Pyxis, and Welch Allen Vital Sign Monitors. The EMR is Meditech. Typical procedures performed in this unit include stress tests, heart catheterizations, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube placements. Ideal candidates are team players. Floating may be required to Med-Surg, Med-Surg Telemetry, and ED holding for this level of care.
