The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) is proud to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Staff Vascular Surgeon to join our esteemed team. Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinic settings, inpatient units, cath lab, and operative care. Perform all aspects of Vascular Surgery within approved credentials and privileges. Participate in program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to delivery of quality care. Manage patient workload within available staffing, which may include support of mid-levels, student, and resident education. Appropriately documents own interventions and reviews appropriate health team documentation of patient treatment plans and involve the primary care provider when indicated to treat changes in the patient's condition. Recognizes complex situations that impact patient care and intervenes, using sound judgment, professional attitude, and appropriate channels. As a Staff Vascular Surgeon at CTVHCS, you will be involved in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our veteran population. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. In addition to competitive salaries ranging from $350,000 to $400,000, we offer annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases that reflect your hard work and dedication. This consists of 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays each year, and a potential 5-day paid absence dedicated to Continuing Medical Education (CME). Recruitment Incentive: May be authorized. Retirement Plans: Our staff can benefit from a traditional federal pension with just 5 years of vesting, in addition to a federal 401K plan that features contributions of up to 5% by the VA. Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.CME Reimbursement: We provide an annual reimbursement of up to $1,000 for continuing medical education purposes.
