Job Description Baylor Scott & White Temple is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our amazing Level One Neuro ICU Department. BSW Temple is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital, Magnet Designated and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. Unit Summary 20 Bed Neuro Surgical ICU Our patient population for neuroscience intensive care unit (NsICU) typically includes critically ill adults with neurological and neurosurgical conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized care Our population is highly variable, with many patients having acute, life-threatening conditions or chronic, progressive diseases needing stabilization. Multidisciplinary care is essential for managing their complex needs. RNs will experience teamwork-oriented collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams Designated Educator and Leadership growth support Multiple Disciplinary Rounds to support care of patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies. Essential Functions of the Role - As an RN, conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes. - Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families. - Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues. - You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members. Empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly. - Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly. - You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Qualifications - Grad of an Accredited RN Program - Specialized field of study should be nursing. - RN license. - Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role. - 1 Year of ICU Experience Required
