Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hemodialysis and
peritoneal dialysis experience; 2 years preferred License: Current
RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience with
hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis - Experience with the Tablo
dialysis machine is considered a plus Description: An Acute Care
Dialysis RN provides specialized hemodialysis care to acutely ill
hospitalized patients. The role includes delivering safe and
effective treatments across various hospital units while
collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities include assessing patients, monitoring treatment
responses, and operating dialysis equipment. Maintaining accurate
documentation and educating patients and families is essential. The
position is structured as four 10-hour shifts per week with a
rotating overnight and weekend call requirement. The dialysis unit
is a small, specialized service providing focused, high-quality
renal support to hospitalized patients. The team delivers an
average of 3 to 6 hemodialysis treatments per day, allowing for
individualized care and close monitoring. Collaboration with
nephrology and inpatient clinical teams is emphasized. The unit
supports a range of patient acuity levels, prioritizing safety,
efficiency, and compassionate care in a patient-centered
