Job Description Job Description We are ideally looking for a full time, but will consider part time / PRN / Contract nurse practitioner or physician assistant. For full time will be 3- 12 hour shifts and an alternating 6 hour shift on Sunday. For PRN anywhere from 1-4 shifts available per week. Individual will be a solo practitioner so experience is required. Support staffing will include one front office receptionist, one MA, and one x-ray tech. Patient volume is usually 1-2 per hour. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will include: Order and interpret indicated diagnostic testing based upon evidence-based medicine and clinical practice guidelines Utilize AdvancedMD electronic medical record (EMR) Perform minor procedures including but not limited to suturing and neoplasm removal Counseling and educating patients on health behaviors, self-care skills and treatment options Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, infections and injuries Diagnosing, treating, and monitoring chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, high blood pressure) Obtaining medical histories and conducting physical examinations Ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic studies (e.g., lab tests, x-rays, EKGs) Prescribing medications Prescribing physical therapy and other rehabilitation treatments Providing prenatal care and family planning services Providing well-child care, including screening and immunizations Providing health maintenance care for adults, including annual physicals See patients 12 months and older We are a private practice and this puts culture and your well-being at the forefront.
