Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Temple, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,236 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Level IV NICU License: RRT, RCP Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP, Preferred: NBRC NPS Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist has advanced knowledge and training of the cardiopulmonary system. They are responsible for managing and treating patients using various scientific principles, therapies, and techniques. Therapists perform and direct the administration of respiratory care services, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and ventilation. They administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency situations. Therapists review physician's orders and analyze patient's diagnostic test results. They provide appropriate therapy based on the patient's current clinical condition and implement approved protocols as directed. The role includes performing routine and advanced respiratory therapy while prioritizing patient needs in a rapidly changing environment. Therapists instruct patients in the use of respiratory care equipment and assess patient responses to therapy. They document all treatments and therapies provided and accurately file corresponding charges. Therapists report outcomes of therapeutic interventions and make recommendations as appropriate. They adhere to established policies, including infection control and HIPAA. The role requires collaboration with other professionals and students. Therapists take responsibility for completing professional requirements set by leadership. They incorporate principles of continuous quality improvement in all aspects of clinical care. Candidates should possess a general understanding of respiratory care modalities and therapies. They must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
