Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN to join our
Catheterization Lab team, serving as an integral part of our
faith-based healthcare organization. With a focus on innovation and
personalized care, the selected candidate will work alongside top
professionals to support cardiac interventions and improve patient
outcomes in our state-of-the-art facilities. This role calls for
advanced nursing capabilities, commitment to patient care, and the
ability to work dynamically within a team to handle cardiac
procedures efficiently and empathetically. Administer nursing care
to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and other
cardiovascular procedures. Monitor and assess patient condition
before, during, and after procedures, providing timely
interventions as needed. Collaborate with cardiologists and
healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient
care plans. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining
processes, answering questions, and offering reassurance. Operate
and maintain all cath lab equipment safely and effectively. Ensure
strict adherence to all safety guidelines and regulations to
minimize infection risks Provide support and education to patients
and their families regarding post-procedure care and overall
cardiovascular health. Proficiency in the use and maintenance of
catheterization lab equipment Strong interpersonal and
communication skills High level of detail orientation and precision
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure
situations In-depth knowledge of cardiac care procedures and
standards Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the
state of practice Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire or
within a short period thereafter.
