Technician Must-Have: Proficiency in all aspects of cardiac,
thoracic, and vascular procedures Description: Candidates applying
for this position must have a minimum of 3 years of recent
full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume hospital
setting. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of
cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Candidates requiring
extensive onboarding will not be considered. Verifiable references
from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training
was needed must be provided. Candidates must be able to function
independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with the ability
to hit the ground running. The schedule for this contract includes
3 shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM on weekdays based on department
needs at the time of the interview. Candidates must participate in
call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and
weekends. The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for
routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair or
replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, and
placement of ventricular assist devices. Additional procedures may
include Impella or intra-aortic balloon pump placement as well as
adult ECMO. Thoracic cases encompass both laparoscopic,
robot-assisted, and open procedures. Vascular procedures range from
placement and revision of ESRD grafts and fistulas to endovascular
procedures. The CVOR service line has the capacity to perform four
concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass.
