Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Temple, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,164 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years, ICU experience required License: RRT, RCP Certifications: BLS (AHA Only) Must-Have: - General understanding of respiratory care modalities, therapies, equipment, and medications. - Ability to read, write, and follow flow chart protocols. - Capacity to work under stressful conditions. - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. - General computer skills, including electronic medical documentation and email. Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist has advanced knowledge and training of the cardiopulmonary system. This knowledge is used to manage and treat patients effectively. Therapists utilize various scientific principles, therapies, and techniques to optimize patient care and outcomes. Essential functions include: Performing and directing the administration of respiratory care services. This can include oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medication, airway clearance, ventilation, and bedside spirometry as per physician orders. Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency situations is required. Reviewing physician's orders and analyzing patient diagnostic test results to provide appropriate therapy based on current clinical conditions. Implementing approved protocols as directed by physicians when appropriate. Performing routine and advanced respiratory therapy while prioritizing patient needs in a fast-paced environment. Instructing patients in the use of various respiratory care equipment in a professional manner. Assessing patient responses to therapy and providing coaching to improve techniques. Documenting all treatments and therapies administered, along with any supplies used. Accurate filing of corresponding charges is expected. Reporting outcomes of therapeutic interventions and making recommendations as needed. Adhering to established policies, including infection control, isolation policies, and HIPAA regulations. Working collaboratively and professionally with other healthcare employees and students. Taking responsibility and initiative to understand and complete any professional or technical requirements set by leadership. Incorporating principles of continuous quality improvement in clinical care. Identifying opportunities for improvement as appropriate. Demonstrating a commitment to effective customer service delivery, integrity, and productivity as a member of a team. This role involves the ability to competently perform all essential duties.
