MRI Tech Location: Temple, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,666 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: NOC Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 5 years License: MRT Certifications: BLS (AHA Only), ARRT-MR Must-Have: Siemens and Epic experience preferred Description: The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury. This role requires adherence to established protocols. The technologist will perform high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner. Responsibilities include maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures. Effective communication with patients is essential to establish rapport and ensure correct exams are performed. The technologist will instruct patients regarding the test to be performed and assess their ability to tolerate the exam. Patient and area preparation involves positioning patients and adjusting immobilization devices and equipment controls. Safety is paramount; the technologist must adhere to safety requirements and infection-control policies. Maintaining equipment and work area to meet cleanliness standards is also a key function. Collaboration with engineers and physicists ensures optimal operational capabilities of equipment. Documentation, including patient history and consent forms, must be obtained and maintained. The technologist ensures individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved procedures. Maintaining medical imaging records in accordance with policies and standards for interpretation is required. The role requires the ability to perform tasks independently and maintain a professional demeanor under stress. Administering first aid and using emergency equipment as needed is crucial. Customer satisfaction is a priority, requiring timely services and courteous interactions. Continued education and maintaining knowledge on appropriate care for various age groups is essential. The technologist may serve as a preceptor, providing training to new team members. Call duty may be required as part of the role.
