Time – (3)-12-hour shifts, Variable Facility: McLane Children's
Hospital Department: Transport (Pediatrics) Experience in PICU,
NICU, or Transport preferred Baylor Scott and White Transport Team
By ground or air, we are ready at a moment's notice. Children who
have sustained a traumatic injury, were born prematurely or may be
suffering from respiratory distress benefit from our ability to
bring rapid, high-quality transport to the bedside. The Baylor
Scott & White McLane Children’s Transport Team is also ready to
transport children with surgical emergencies, cardiac issues or
medical conditions that require transfer to Baylor Scott & White
McLane Children’s Medical Center - Temple. Baylor Scott & White
McLane Children's has an air ambulance and a king-sized,
custom-made transport ambulance. The transport team features highly
trained and experienced individuals who provide specialized expert
care for ill or injured children. Our dedicated team of registered
nurses, respiratory therapists and emergency medical technicians
(EMTs) has advanced training in the stabilization, treatment and
transport of pediatric and neonatal patients from area hospitals

based upon position type and/or level. Job Summary As a Transport
Registered Nurse, you will care for high-risk patients and their
families in a mobile setting. You are vital in upholding care
standards and assisting in neonate and child transport cases. You
will follow Physician’s directions to stabilize patients before
transferring them to specialized care. Your responsibilities
include caring for patients in various units such as ICU for
newborns and Emergency Department. Essential Functions of the Role
- Providing vital care knowledge to help the team assess patients,
stabilize conditions, implement interventions, and communicate
effectively with physicians. - Taking part in trauma team
operations, and becoming an energetic member of the Rapid Response
Team whenever possible. - Contributing to the achievement of
personal, departmental and hospital targets by providing innovative
ideas, suggestions, and solutions. - Participating in ongoing
education, team meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, case reviews,
and training sessions at department and hospital levels. -
Participation in the process of developing and verifying patient
care standards that apply to those being transported. Key Success
Factors - Exceptional communication skills are vital. -
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are important for
making quick selections. - Experience with Microsoft Office and
electronic medical records is preferred. - Use interpersonal skills
to engage with diverse team members in the organization. -
Experience in NICU or PICU is an asset. Belonging Statement We

Qualifications - A minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing -
The candidate should possess at least (2) two years of relevant
professional experience. - Registered Nurse - (BLS) Basic Life
Support certification within 30 days of hire.
