Criminal Defense Associate Attorney (Austin, TX) Confidential Hiring Process About the Opportunity: A well-established and mission-driven firm in Austin, TX is seeking a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. This is a full-time, in-office position for a bilingual attorney who thrives in a courtroom setting and is passionate about defending individuals across Central Texas. Salary: $90K–$130K , depending on experience Performance-based bonuses jail release fee incentives IRA with employer match health insurance reimbursement Paid time off and health savings account options Opportunity to make a real impact in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in criminal matters from pre-trial through trial Appear regularly in Travis, Hays, and Williamson County courts Negotiate with prosecutors and advocate in detention facilities Conduct research, draft motions, and develop defense strategies Communicate clearly with clients and manage your own docket Travel to local jails and courts as needed (driver’s license required) Ideal Candidate: Licensed to practice in Texas 1–2 years of experience in criminal law (defense or prosecution) Fluent in English and Spanish Strong courtroom and litigation skills Confident handling a high-volume caseload Experience in Central Texas courts preferred Apply confidentially today — interviews are being scheduled now.
