How You Will Make an Impact
As the seasoned Head of Digital Manufacturing, you will lead innovation-driven factory digitalization initiatives. Your role includes leading a team in organizational change management and digital transformation activities such as process engineering digitalization, OT Automation, Industry 4.0, and Smart Manufacturing efforts. You will oversee IT Infrastructure, IT Automation, and related functions. Your responsibilities include developing a factory digitization strategy aligned with business goals and executing a measurable, value-driven roadmap. Fostering a collaborative team culture focused on high-quality, data-driven systems that deliver tangible results is key.
Location
This role is based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities

• Map and analyze gaps to develop a factory digitization strategy and ROI analysis.
  
• Develop analytics strategies across production, plant operations, and services.
  
• Support manufacturing capacity planning models for S&OP processes.
  
• Identify opportunities for process automation, productivity, and efficiency improvements.
  
• Design system solutions to support lean manufacturing.
  
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure uptime via mission-critical technology services at all Atlas sites.
  
• Stay informed on technology trends that promote a digital culture, aligning initiatives with business objectives.
  
  Minimum Qualifications
  
  
• Leadership experience in technology teams, with a track record of managing digitalization projects bridging OT Automation, IT, and manufacturing operations.
  
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT, and Smart Manufacturing, with practical implementation insights.
  
• Expertise in platforms like Ignition, Factory Talk, OSI PI, or similar.
  
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure at the edge and corporate levels.
  
• Experience in documenting and digitalizing business processes, including developing in-house solutions.
  
• Familiarity with advanced technologies such as computer vision.
  
• Experience with remote management of operations at the edge.
  
• Ability to integrate edge computing and cloud solutions into IT and OT stacks.
  
• Willingness to work hands-on at sites in West Texas and other locations, with strategic planning for 3-5 years ahead.
