CAMPUS----Job Details:PurposeProvide HVAC support for the Applied
Research Laboratories.Responsibilities
- Repair, maintenance, and installation of HVAC systems at ARL
and LTTS.
- Building maintenance and repairs in areas such as refrigeration
systems, plumbing, air compressors, ice machines and installing and
changing water filters.
- Assist in construction projects including carpentry, painting,
furniture and assembly.
- Logistics support including moving furniture and
equipment.
- Operate construction equipment such as forklifts and
vehicles.
- Effectively use computer systems, software applications such as
SharePoint and Excel to track all HVAC related equipment's
maintenance schedule
- Other related functions as assigned.Required Qualifications
- HS graduation or GED.
- Three years of journeyman level HVAC experience.
- At least two years practical experience in repair, maintenance
and installation of air conditioning and refrigeration
equipment.
- Flexibility to work in other fields of construction such as
assisting in building construction.
- Demonstrated ability to use tools required for the job.
- The successful candidate will possess the ability to follow
through andcomplete jobs assigned and use construction tools and
equipment safely as well as perform work with accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential
information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team
member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with
all groups of clients.
- Must have worked on and have knowledge of electronic and
pneumatic controls, calibration, and proper use of test equipment
to verify performance.
- Able to work under pressure and accept supervision.
- Regular and punctual attendance, may also need to be available
to work additional hours other than regularly scheduled hours.US

project requirements of the position.Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of HVAC related technical courses.
- Completion of construction and maintenance technical
courses.
- More than three years of journey level experience with HVAC
maintenance and repair.
- Texas Licensed Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor,
Class A or B, or Texas Certified ACR technician with 5 years
practical experience in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
work.
- Texas Certification to Purchase Refrigerant Products.
- Demonstrated leadership role on multidisciplinary construction
projects.Driving RequiredThis job requires a class "C" operator's
driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current
three year driving record from the current state of residence. If
not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be
obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who
are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing
(pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random,
return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).General
