Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a fast-paced, high growth real estate company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full cycle of accounting duties, from preparing journal entries to producing financial reports. This role will be integral in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. The ideal Senior Accountant will have 4 years of experience, as well as experience in lease accounting, fixed assets, as well as property management accounting experience. The Senior Accountant will also be managing the renovation costs for the various hotels. This position is hybrid and will be working in the office 3 days/week in an up and coming area in Austin, TX! This organization is ideal because they are the parent company for many large hospitality chains but the corporate office is smaller. Paid Holidays Milestone award – employees are granted shares when reaching the years-of-service milestone Discounted hotel room stay Job Details Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include: Managing all aspects of accounting for real estate investments, including property acquisitions, dispositions, and leases Ensuring compliance with lease accounting standards and regulations Tracking and managing fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and asset impairment testing Performing financial analysis and reporting for real estate investments and fixed assets Working closely with internal stakeholders, including property managers, asset managers, and senior leadership, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules Mentoring and training junior accounting staff in real estate and fixed asset accounting best practices The Senior Accountant should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate accounting, with a strong understanding of lease accounting and fixed asset accounting principles. A CPA or relevant professional certification is preferred. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential for success in this role.
